QR CODES GIVE “JUMPING OFF THE PAGE A WHOLE NEW MEETING”

A QR code is a two-dimensional code readable by mobile devices. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. You’re probably starting to see them in magazines – small pixilated symbols printed in the corner of articles, feature spreads and advertisements. They’re called Quick Response Codes (QR codes), and they’re becoming a part of more and more communication strategies as an instant, high-technology bridge between print and web-based content.
How Do I Download a QR Reader onto my Mobile Phone?
Open the web browser on your mobile phone and type in the address get.beetagg.com
Beetagg will automatically determine what type of phone you have and supply a link “Download Reader”. Click on the link.
The link will take you to a new page where you will click on the Download button and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once your phone has downloaded the reader from Beetagg, go to where your applications are normally found and click on the Beetagg icon.
Select the Scan option and take a picture of the QR code above. Hold the phone viewer far enough above the QR code so that it fills the majority of the screen. On some mobile phones you may be able to read the code by hovering or you may have to click the button to take a photo of the code.
Once Beetagg has scanned the QR image, it will present the decoded message or URL on your phone.
