As Canada’s largest national design expo and conference, IIDEX/NeoCon Canada brings together over 15,000 of the interior design, architectural, facility management, real estate and business communities in a national, forum which powers the design industry in Canada. During two action packed days in September, IIDEX/NeoCon Canada’s 350 exhibitors showcase hundreds of innovative products and services, from all areas of design – workplace, hospitality, retail, healthcare, lighting and sustainable design, while our CEU accredited international conference program ensures attendees receive expert advice on the issues shaping this rapidly changing industry. IIDEX offers numerous opportunities to network, through receptions, award ceremonies and tours. Now in its 27th year, IIDEX holds a truly unique position in the Canadian design industry as the only major design exposition owned by a professional association, the Interior Designers of Canada.
2011 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
IIDEX/NeoCon Canada is recognized industry-wide as a leader in showcasing the latest products, ideas and trends on the show floor. With the transfer of ownership of IIDEX to IDC, The Interior Designers of Canada, IIDEX will have an increased national focus providing every exhibitor with national exposure. Our 2011 line-up of special features and events includes:
- Hospitality Canada Pavilion puts a spotlight on hospitality products from Canada and international markets. The pavilion will include suppliers with accessories, furniture, art, flooring, fabrics, lighting, services and window treatments.
- Special exhibit of eight new restaurants/bars across Canada with vignettes and authentic table settings from each restaurant. This special program will also include an offsite dinner event in Toronto on Thursday and Friday evening.
- Launch of the 1st Canadian Hotel Design Awards by Air Canada’s enRoute Magazine will include an awards ceremony & reception at IIDEX on Thursday, plus an exhibit of the winners.
- Attendance at IIDEX by over 40 international hospitality designers and hoteliers as a special guest of IIDEX
- The hospitality design conference program will include a keynote featuring a design icon and educational sessions
- II x IV selected for this year’s Material World’s designer picks, II x IV PICKS a special exhibit featuring II x IV’s favourite material from their award winning projects.
- On-Line Think: Material product library for designers and architects plus expanded exhibit of the latest materials from around the globe, many making their North American debut
- New collaboration with the OALA, the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects featuring winners of OALA awards, educational sessions and a Landscape Architecture Pavilion featuring the latest products and services
- ARIDO and Innovation Awards ceremonies will be presented on a new night, Wednesday, September 21
- Lobby Bar feature on the show floor, a great place to socialize, relax, network and share a refreshment with friends and colleagues
- LEDiscovery exposition and conference demonstrating the latest breakthroughs in LED lighting
- Three international keynote speakers on hospitality, design and architecture
- Twelve seminar streams with over 75 CEU accredited seminars and hundreds of expert speakers
- Two important attendee development programs, our COAST TO COAST TRAVEL SUBSIDY which funds the travel of 250 designers and architects from across Canada to attend IIDEX.
Plus our CANADA DESIGNS INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PROGRAM.
KEYNOTES AND CONFERENCE:
Another blockbuster line-up of international keynotes plus 100 CEU accredited seminars, panels and workshops is in the works and we will be sending out a media advisory on keynotes in June 2011. Conference information will be on-line July 26, 2011.
