Green Patient Lab
The Green Patient Room returns to IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2009 sporting a complete makeover. By incorporating visitor feedback from ten international trade shows and private viewings from healthcare practitioners, facility managers, designers and senior managers, the Green Patient Room returns to IIDEX as the Green Patient Lab. This feedback was then incorporated into the design of the Green Patient Lab, ensuring this new exhibit demonstrates in real time the latest design concepts with regard to patient wellness and caregiver safety.
Improvements will include a new overall design, new furniture and finishes plus a new addition, a media wall, featuring the latest medical technology enhancements from Teecom and 5+3. The media wall places patient care in the fingertips of medical personnel, offers patients control over their own comfort and amenities and reduces costs and errors in delivering services to the patient. The design of this room embraces the idea that green materials and new technologies can be economically viable, readily available and appropriate for use in intensive healthcare settings. It also shows how a healing environment improves the quality of life for patients, staff and family when based on best practices and evidence-based design.
Adjacent to the Green Patient Room at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2009 will be a new Public Spaces Pavilion that showcases the latest products and services for healthcare, education and institutional design.
