(Toronto) Material World will be a feature exhibit at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada this September, showcasing an exhibit of the latest new and sustainable materials from emerging Canadian companies. In addition, an interactive feature exhibit exclusively designed and developed by Material Connexion for IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, Tomorrow’s Products From Today’s Materials, will be presented.
Tomorrow’s Products from Today’s Materials feature exhibit is based on a calendar theme with each of the 52 weeks representing a material or a product derived from that material. The exhibit will explore a wide variety of design themes: sustainability, integrated technology, nanotechnology, and many more. The majority of the conceptual products will be drawn from the world of interiors and furniture, but will also include other design disciplines as some of the best ideas come from unfamiliar territory.
The impact of materials on our lives cannot be understated. A decision to use a material that is eco-friendly – be it one that produces less material waste, is itself made from materials that would have otherwise been discarded, or one that creates a more efficient product - can have a far-reaching effect.
