This session will explore seven emerging trends in the commercial and institutional carpet markets, to demonstrate the shape, pattern and eco-effectiveness of things to come. An appreciation of these trends led to the creation of Shaw Contract Group’s Design Lab, devoted to products that ask: What if carpet was unbound by convention? Trends and patterns include:
• Eco-uture
• Invented Tradition
• Fantasy
• Origami
• Armorial
• Skeletal
• Self Indulgence
