With the current pace of change in LED technology, it can be daunting to sort through claims in determining where LED’s can sensibly be applied today for general lighting. This session will take you through a number of key applications where high-brightness white LED’s are already being used and look at some guidelines for assessing the suitability of LEDs for your project.

Shirley Coyle is General Manager of Ruud Lighting in Canada, a manufacturer of commercial luminaires for interior and exterior applications. Shirley has worked for several international architectural lighting companies during her 25 years in the lighting industry. Lighting Certified since 2000, Shirley is an active member of the IES, and is a Past President of the Toronto Section.
