Learn to create innovative custom architectural lighting, while exploring materials through their uses, functions and features. Attendees will be exposed to a step-by-step process for making it through a project without pain and secrets to getting it certified on time. Out-of-this-world installations with dynamic effects, including video water and fire, will be shown.

Speaker: Dominique Alary is a graduate of the School of Industrial Design at the University of Montreal. He also completed administration and computer science studies at McGill University and the Université du Québec à Rimouski. He began his career at Lumec and founded his own company, Lumid Lightingtools, in 1991. Lighting features from the Alary Collection have been widely published in over 20 international magazines. In addition to receiving awards at SIDIM (Salon International du Design d’intérieur de Montréal) and IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, he has obtained grants from the National Research Council Canada and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.

All lighting seminars at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2008 are accredited for LC credits.
