This 1 hour introduction training session answers your questions about how a product(s) may contribute towards applicable LEED credits. The workshop is ideal for industry professionals seeking to increase their understanding of LEED rating systems and green building strategies, benefits and resources.
Speaker: Sheila Brown is the Practice Director for the Jacques Whitford Sustainable Buildings Team. She has over 25 years of hands-on experience in the building industry, and is familiar with building costing, tendering, and operational issues. She contributed to the development of the LEED® Canada for New Construction and Major Renovations (NC) tool, is a member of the Canada Green Building Council’s LEED® Technical Advisory Group (TAG), the CaGBC Faculty and the LEED® CI Core Committee, which was responsible for the development of the LEED® Canada for Commercial Interiors tool. She has worked with PWGSC to integrated sustainable building criteria and asset management into their project delivery process and has been a primary lead for the ‘greening’ of the National Master Specification. Sheila is currently providing LEED® facilitation services for numerous projects registered under the both the LEED® NC, CS and LEED® CI tools. As Practice Director, Ms Brown provides senior review and technical support to all Jacques Whitford sustainable design projects.
