This presentation will highlight the process undertaken for selecting and deploying LED/SSL lighting as the primary lighting source in Toronto’s Palace Pier condominium, the first residential building in North America to do so. The presentation will cover the interior designer’s desire and rationale for using LED and the journey to final selection and installation. It will show how the eventual LED MR16 luminaire was designed to exceed specifications, surpassing any other design currently available. The speakers will discuss the role played by the LED City Toronto initiative and offer best practices from lessons learned.
