Industry consultant Jim Heilborn will offer an overview of the process needed to develop a service organization, within a dealership or as a stand-alone business. Attendees will learn the thought process behind creating a service menu and how to develop a basic business plan. Areas covered will include determining client needs, evaluating services to be offered, implementability, ROI, sales strategy and goals, and measurements and metrics. This session will particularly benefit anyone whose product sales have dropped.
Speaker: California-based Jim Heilborn, an independent business consultant with clients across the country, works primarily with dealers, service providers and manufacturers in the office furniture business. Jim began his career as a furniture buyer in San Francisco and later held executive positions at Beier & Gunderson, and Lindsay’s (now One Workplace). His firm, Jim Heilborn Associates, works in all business areas, including sales, operations, human resources and recruiting.
