Friday Afternoon - 9:30am - 11 am
Location: Cafe located at the end of aisle 2100
This educational session, designed especially for students, is a three-part seminar. First, students are invited to learn about the benefits of belonging to a professional association. Following the information session, students will hear a representative from a leading design firm discuss their career and their design projects. This year’s viewpoint speakers will focus on tips for your resume, portfolio, covering letter, job search, interview and understanding your target audience. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the profession to each company participating in this year’s Exchange, getting the scoop on the working world. Career Exchange is organized by ARIDO.
ARIDO Student Charette
NEW for 2007 IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2007 will host the inaugural ARIDO Student Charette
A combination of ARIDO’s Student awards program and the school exhibits. A true challenge! School teams–armed only with a list of build requirements, raw materials and tools–will create their masterpieces on the show floor with only minutes to prepare. Groups are comprised of four or five students from each of Ontario’s ARIDO-recognized programs. Take a stroll through the school exhibit area, and be sure to cheer on these up-and coming interior designers! At the end of Thursday, a team of judges will visit each display to choose the award recipient and the winners will also be announced at the ARIDO Awards of Excellence on Thursday evening.
