41° to 66° Regional Responses to Sustainable Architecture in Canada Exhibit
An IIDEX/NeoCon Canada exclusive, 41° to 66° showcases the very best of examples of sustainable architecture in Canada from coast to coast to coast. Located on the show floor, this 1000 sq. ft exhibit is divided into six regions (Arctic, West Coast, Mountain, Prairie, Continental, Atlantic) with photo and text wall panels and six beautiful models made for the exhibition. The exhibition responds to Canadians’ growing interest both in our own architecture and in a wider culture of sustainability. This also reflects a growing number of Canadian architects who are designing buildings that refer to the language of modernism while taking local geography, climate, culture, and material and design history into consideration. As Japanese architect Shigeru Ban put it, “permanence is not a matter of the materials you use, permanence is whether people love your building.” 41° to 66° is full of buildings that will last for the simple reason that Canadians love them.” Booth 927.
Awards of Excellence Showcase

Located on the show floor next to the entrance to Heritage Court, the 2006 ARIDO Award of Excellence winners, OAA Awards as well as the RAIC Awards of Excellence/Urban Design awards will be showcased.
